For me, finding an inexpensive reliable clock that doesn't light up the entire room at night was a more difficult task than expected. Fortunately, I spotted this clock in a grocery store and pounced on it. Be careful if you are buying a clock with green or blue lighted numerals if you like to sleep in a totally darkened room. Also, large numerals, of any color, may be too bright for a bedroom.
