I don't know if I just got a defective model or it this clock is just plain useless. In the picture, the numbers appear bold and black. On the one I was sent, the numbers were extremely faint and the clock had to be rotated to a certain angle to be able to read the numbers at all. If you turned on the light to view the time in the dark, the numbers were completely washed out and you were looking at a blank screen. I tried more than one set of batteries to be sure that it was not a battery issue. The company who I purchased it from readily gave me a full refund and told me to just throw the clock away since I was unwilling to throw good money after bad and mail it back to them. They were very cooperative in issuing a refund. Bad product, but good customer service.

If you are looking for a clock that can be easily read during the day, do not buy this one. The numbers do not stay lit and the color and angle of the unlit display prevents one to be able to readily see the time. The clock has to be tilted to a specific angle in order to view the time without difficulty. The light ONLY goes on for a few seconds after you press the Snooze Button. So, even in the dark of night, you can not see the time unless you press the snooze button. It took me no time to pack this up and send it back to Amazon!

I wanted a simple clock, quiet, that had both time and temp.
I have other temp gauges throughout my place, and the equity
clock is accurate, and perfect for the job. The night time
illumination could be better, but overall, a great deal!!
I recommend this product for everyone.....

Product was much smaller than expected.When you use the illumination feature the clock sits at such a strange angle you really cannot read the screen

This alarm clock is absolutely racecar red. It has multiple settings. Date, day, year, temperature.
Most of all the time numbers do not glow at all. So that when I set it down across the room from me I can't see the time.
I have only a small studio and don't have room here next to me to set it down. I need to be able to see the numbers in the dark.
So while it's a pretty clock with many functions. It's just not for me. Also it does not come with the first set of batteries. So be sure to order those. I'll look for something else that will be more useful for me.
