 "Finally!" 2010-01-03
By L. Qi
Sometimes I just don't understand why most manufacturers insisting on producing very stupid product. Ask yourself: How often do you get up the same time in weekends as you would do in weekdays? I believe 99% people would reply "Almost never!". Then why most alarm clocks on the market has only one alarm for 7 days? Isn't is annoying when you forgot to reset the alarm on a Friday evening then the next day it goes off at 6am?

Finally someone realize this.

The clock is fairly easy to use and setup, with up/down button you don't have to go around 59 and then go back. Some minor drawbacks:

1 The backlight time is bit too short.

2 No atomic

3 The shape of the clock made it a bit unstable while on the table

"great idea but doesn't stand" 2009-09-29
By A mom of twins
the idea of this alarm is really great & unique. i always wanted some thing that i don't have to cancel it's alarms by the weekend (or suffer the consequences in a weekend morning)& then redo it after the weekend.

the thing is, it almost doesn't stand so if i want to know the time i have to search for it & actually hold it.

"Great alarm but cheaply made" 2009-09-21

This would be a great travel alarm. I, however, was looking for a battery powered alarm for every day use. I like this alarm a lot. I like that you can see when the alarm is set for at all times. And I especially like that it has different weekday / weekend alarm settings so I don't have to remember to turn it off on Friday and back on on Sunday night. One of the other things I love about this clock is the alarm sound. It gives you 3 beeps then a long pause, then 3 more, etc. If you don't respond the beeps eventually get louder and more frequent. But I generally find the first 3 beeps enough to wake me up without being too jarring. On the negative side, this alarm is very unstable and knocks over easily/frequently. If you wouldn't mind velcro-ing it to your nightstand or headboard, etc. then it might work for you. Within the first week mine fell off the nightstand and onto the floor and all the numbers faded. I tapped it a little on the other side and they eventually came back though. Now I just sleep with it in my bed. The worst feature about this alarm is turning it off because you have to hit the snooze button twice and sometimes you think it went off but it only went into snooze. If they changed this to a separate alarm off feature this alarm would be great.

"Great for my needs and for the price, but has flaws" 2009-08-19
By Laura L. Marschel (Chicago, IL)
I bought this as a second alarm clock for our room since I usually wake up earlier than my husband. It has some problems as a product but for me it's perfect. I like the adjustable volume (hold in the Up or Down button to adjust, or you can lay it on it's back to block the speaker.) and husband can sleep through it easily. Also I like that it beeps twice, then waits, then beeps louder, etc. After seeing on reviews that people have probs with the snooze button I already knew I would just turn the alarm off and on every day and not chance the snooze. So I just push the alarm button to turn it off in the morning and reset it before I got ot bed. I do have the same problem that the snooze button does not make contact consistently, but luckily I never snooze. I think the addition of an alarm reset button would help a lot rather than the double click snooze to turn it off but I don't mind just turning it off. I suppose you could also just turn it off and right back on in the morning if you didn't want to bother resetting it at night. But otherwise it's just fine, and the price is certainly good. I like that it has the date, day and time as well as a daylight savings option. I have not had to use the Saturday/Sunday alarms yet but it's a nice feature. Customer service at Rayna was very nice and quick to respond when I emailed them. (I didn't know how to choose a color. Still don't but I got the right one anyhow.) Had it not been so affordable I would have thought more about the flaws but really I couldn't find anything with these features anywhere near this price range.

 "Simply Awful" 2009-06-12
By Ann L. Brady (Long Island, NY)
What has not been mentioned elsewhere is that the clock goes into snooze mode after about a minute. This may be a generational thing, but I prefer making my own decisions to machines making decisions for me. I want a clock to keep doing it's alarm thing until I decide to hit the snooze button or turn it off.

And yes, the alarm itself is VERY "gentle" and yes there is a problem with turning off the alarm. In my case I have to remove the battery- sort of defeats the feature of being able to set the alarm for the whole week.

If there was an option for zero stars, this would get it.
