My daughter needed an easy to use alarm clock - pink was her choice. I went straight to Amazon.com and found this. It's a smaller version of mine. The best thing about it is the alarm off button so the alarm does not need to be reset daily. The color is very cute too. She loves it.

 "I LOVE this clock!" 2010-01-30
By Lady Sunder (USA)
I bought this clock about 2 years ago because I wanted something that could reset itself and be almost maintenance free. I feel blessed to have such a great clock. I have used both the wall plug-in and batteries. It adjusts easily and I have changed the batteries once in a year that I started using it. I like that it doesn't glare at me during the night like the red digital clock readings do. If I wake up and want to know the time, I can feel that the light-up screen button is bigger than the others and I don't accidentally turn off my alarm. I like the fact that it has an extra outside reading because I can check and see if a room that I heat very little in the winter is actually too cold.

In addition, I love the fact that it fits in a bag and I can bring it with me for hotels, staying with relatives, or traveling in general. I have had mine for a very long time and I intend to have it for a lot longer. This clock is amazing and sets itself right away. Once you figure out the set up (the first 10 minutes, tops), then you are on your way to get a clock that you will love and will make life easier.

"Would be great for a 24x7 ops center that needs an every-15-minute notification light" 2009-12-04
By DC Customer
This clock is a disaster for one main reason: the LED on the corner that lights up the bedroom in blue, every 15 minutes.

We read the manual. We followed the instructions. It seems that every night you need to hold down a specific button for 10 seconds to avoid being disturbed at 15 minute intervals by the weather LED lighting up. I actually have a suspicion that some of these clocks are buggy -- including ours -- because I can't imagine that a company that's been around for years would design a clock-radio that had a default value that wakes up a sleeping person every 15 minutes. And the manual doesn't seem to indicate that you'd have to do it every single night, but we do. For the love of god. And if you forget, expect to have your sleep disrupted until you get up and fix it.

The rest of the clock/weather station is ok, but not good enough to offset the tragic flaw of the light and the cryptic steps you must take on a nightly basis to turn off the stupid LED.

In sum: the default of something you use while sleeping should not involve waking you up four times an hour.

"Not good for stated purpose" 2009-04-17
By Gary L. Cowden (VA)
I ended up returning mine. I liked the idea of having an external thermometer feature, that is what got my attention. HOWEVER, the clock radio feature is what I really needed. We returned this because:

- The bright light in the corner can be turned of but comes on each time you touch a button

- Radio reception was OK but sound quality (important to us) was very inferior relative to our old $19 RCA.

- The display is very bright at night, yet hard to read

- The manual really is very hard to read, not well written and very small print

"A nice full featured clock" 2009-04-03
By T. D. Carter (Mid-west, MO)
After reading all the other reviews I wasn't too sure. But reading between the lines I decided to take a chance. I bit the bullet and bought it and so far I am happy I did. I did find one thing I would like changed, one thing I would like enhanced.

The negative and needing changed is that the dual alarms will both sound by the same method. Either both by buzzer or both by radio. I personally like to use one alarm by radio, one by buzzer. That gives me a gentle wake up and then a reminder alert a little later.

To make the clock better, it would be nice if you could dim the weather LED. It is bright, no doubt about it. You can set it so that it only comes on for 10 seconds when you press a button, but I'd still like to see it dimmable.

As far as the other complaints... almost all the bad reviews could be corrected and attributed to user error. If people would RTFM before moaning, life would be easier.

Time resets to central but you live in the west, well read the manual. Not getting the auto time update, RTFM. Weather indicator light stays lit and keeps you up at night, read the manual. Outside temperature sensor giving inaccurate readings, read the flipping manual and mount the sensor in an appropriate place. As far as the sensor only measuring barometric pressure indoors and not outside, well unless you live in a submarine or a minute-man missile silo and use the airlock, the pressure inside and outside your house are the same. Humidity might be different, but pressure is the same, and that is what gives the clock its rudimentary weather predictions. Yes, it is really basic weather predictions, but what do you expect. It's a clock radio, not a meteorologist. Turn on the radio if you want more details.

I'd buy one again, but I would prefer separate buzz/radio selections for each alarm.

 "time display too bright" 2010-01-21
By peter cobb (denver, co)
The size, functionality, ease of use, and quality are all superb but the time display is too bright to be used as a bedside clock/radio. we actually have it across the room and have to put a light scarf over the face to tone down the light display. There is an option to reduce brightness but still too bright after that. I would return it but it is only $20 and shipping will probably be half that.

 "Love this clock" 2009-11-25
By K. Royce (USA)
Was looking for a soft purple alarm clock to match my bedroom and had difficulty finding one until this one. Loved the price and the feature of dual alarm clocks since my husband and I awake at different times. Clock is very loud or has a radio option to wake you. Only dislike is the numbers are very bright especially when you're trying to sleep but if you turn the clock away from you it's hardly noticeable anymore. I would recommend this clock to anyone. Also for an alarm clock it has a very nice look to it and the dual setting prevents two alarm clocks in one room.

"Nice features but needs concentration to use" 2010-01-15
By P. MSakamoto (Saratoga, California USA)
This is an item I really wanted to like. It looks great on my desk and the photo images come out looking decent. It's not high def, but the screen is not huge so it is not a deficit per se, The list of functions is impressive (photo display, mp3 player, digital radio and it even functions as a clock :-). However, to get the full benefit you have to know your way around the unit's menu system and you must also know how to put music and photos on to the SC card in order to display you own photos and play your own music. Since there is no USB port, you must do this in a separate card reader/writer. Now, you may have all of this already, but I think it would have been much better to have a USB port for this clock so you could just hook it up to your computer and download what you need. Because of this, in practice, I suspect most people will put some items on this clock once, and then not revisit it.

The radio is very, very good. Surprisingly, it picks up stations at my home that other radios can't. I was surprised. The unit comes with an FM radio wire antenna, but I didn't have to extend it. It just worked. Controlling the radio requires using little buttons on the side of the unit. This is not a big deal, but you are likely to get fingerprints on the front screen since the unit is light weight and you have to hold it or pick it up to push the buttons. Since the front is an attractive mirrored finish, prints show up easily.

So, if you are not baffled by buttons and menus, and you are slightly technically handy in manipulating SD cards, this unit is great. Looks good, sounds OK and has a lot of features. The FM radio is super sensitive and has auto station seek. You'll like it. If you need your clock radio/picture frame to be brain dead simple, you should look elsewhere. Since my personal intellect is time of day dependent, perhaps a further summary is to say this makes a better desk clock than a bedside alarm clock for that reason.

 "Very Good Alarm Clock" 2009-11-23
By S M (California, USA)
This little Phillips alarm clock is a jack of all trades. It is a clock/alarm, FM radio, LCD picture viewer, and even an MP3 player. But like most multifunction products it does have its flaws, the biggest being the clock is not always clearly visible when in picture viewing mode. Nonetheless you would be hard-pressed to find any alarm clock that has as many functions as this one at a reasonable price.

*** Positive Points Include: ***

- Easy to use menus and just enough buttons to make it simple to use

- Radio and mp3 playback have sound quality that is surprisingly decent for its size

- Can have it randomly scroll through your pictures or pause on any single photo

- Screen can be dimmed or turned off completely

- Has 2 independent alarms

- Alarm sounds are really soothing and include forest, birds chirping, ocean, and church bells in addition to standard buzzing, radio, or MP3 playback.

- Good design with small size and attractive looks

- Has a internal backup so you wont lose your settings if the power goes out

*** Negative Points Include: ***

- LCD screen is a bit low in resolution but more than adequate for most people

- Clock can be a bit difficult to read with pictures playing in the background. To get around this just load a picture of a wall and click on pause.

- Mirrored bezel attracts fingerprints

Overall: This little alarm clock does pretty much everything. If it had better visibility of the clock and maybe a slightly higher resolution screen this would be a 5 stars product.

 "Good features set" 2009-11-21

I got my Philips LCD Clock Radio as a gift and had no trouble setting up without reading the manual. It didn't come with an S.D. card so I pulled a 2 GB one from my collection and loaded some pics and music. Again without reading any manual I was able to figure things out. The screen is good in quality and there are two alarms. I liked it enough that I'll buy two as Xmas gift this year.

"Nice radio, the rest is just OK" 2009-11-19
By myoho guy (Northern California USA)
This is an ambitious attempt at combining a clock radio, LCD picture frame, and an MP3 music player. It's very sleek and modern looking and is small enough to fit on just about any bedside table. Here are my observations:

On the positive side-

The radio is actually the most successful component with clear sound and a very good FM station auto-program function.

On the not-so-positive side-

The LCD screen is fairly low resolution, which means that no matter how good your photos are, they will look pretty mediocre on the little screen.

The choices for clock/picture display are rather limited and the screen does not have a dimming function.

The biggest drawback to this little clock is that there is no backup battery to keep the clock set in the event of a power outage.

Overall, this one rates in the "close, but no cigar" category of clock/radio/photo frame/MP3 players.

"Affordable alarm clock radio works as a digital photo frame, but.." 2009-11-19
By Y. Kim (Champaign, IL USA)
I have always wanted to have a digital photo frame. And I finally got a chance to use the Philips AJL303 LCD clock radio that can also work as a digital photo frame. It is an alarm clock radio that has a 3.5 inch color LCD screen and can play MP3 files from the memory card (SD or SDHC type).

After the initial setup, the first thing I did was that I copied my favorite MP3s and pictures to the SD card since the Philips AJL303 does not have any internal memory to store music or pictures. As I expected, it plays my music and pictures flawlessly. You can listen your music while the slideshow is playing. The one thing I have not found so far is that I cannot make the slideshow going while the radio is playing. When the radio is playing, it only shows the frequency of the radio station and I cannot listen radio and enjoy pictures at the same time. So I mostly use this device as an MP3 player to see the slideshow at the same time.

The size of the 3.5 inch screen is fine by me. I use a GPS and a PDA that both have a 3.5' screens. However the picture quality is little bit disappointing. Pictures look very rough and the saturation of the color is not satisfiable. I do not think it is because of the resolution (320*240). I have a PDA with same resolution and same size screen and my PDA shows far better pictures. I know that I cannot expect too much on a $60 device, though.

The size of the analog clock is small and I wish there is an option to have an analog clock that is big as the size of the screen. From a distance, I hardly recognize the time, so I had to switch to a digital clock for better visibility.

Also, if you are planning to use a microSDHC card with an SD card adapter, the Philips AJS303 might not read your card. I have many SD, SDHC and microSDHC cards at my home and the Philips cannot read one of my microSDHC card with an SD adapter made by Transcend. It reads all my SD and SDHC cards fine though.

As an alarm clock radio, it serves its purposes. I love to wake up with the music I like and the reception of FM channels are just fine. The menu is not that intuitive, however, once you get the hang of it, it is OK to use. The lack of a backup battery might be the biggest drawback of this alarm clock radio with a digital photo frame. Once you lose the power, you should set everything again.

Now, my 9 year old daughter is using the Philips AJL303. It seems like she really loves this and she does not have any plan to return this to me. If the Philips AJL303 has a backup battery and better picture quality, I would give 5 stars.

"Surprising amount of features for such an affordable alarm clock" 2009-11-24
By ScOObydoo (USA)
I've been the owner of almost 15 different iPod alarm clocks. So I guess you could say I'm rather picky about them. The Philips DC190 is one of them that actually stands out in the crowd. For starters, it has a feature I require on any alarm clock I buy - weekend/weekday alarm clock. Seriously, it is awesome to be able to forget turning the alarm off for the weekend.

The design of the DC190 is odd - the mirror finish and pop out dock just seem so weird. They serve no real purpose, and Philips would have been better off leaving them out of the product.

Controlling the DC190 is not too complicated, but they did make things harder by placing the buttons on the front, side and rear of the unit. There is no remote control, but with a unit this small, it doesn't really need it, plus it helps keep the price down.

The radio pulls in a decent signal, but only in FM - once again, not a real issue since AM isn't that important nowadays, especially in an iPod alarm clock.

The only downside of this thing is its audio - it produces sound out a fairly small speaker, and you can hear it.

All in all, not too shabby for under $50, which is about $20 less than a comparable iHome product.

"Good Alarm Clock, Could Be Better" 2009-11-15
By ASP (NJ)
Overall 3.5 stars out of 5 stars. This is a slightly-better-than-average clock radio. It looks nice, and offers the basic features, two alarms, gentle wake-up, and choice of alarm (iPod, buzzer, or radio). It also plays music from your iPod and charges the iPod when the player is not in use. You can set several radio presets, and also listen to other audio devices using the stereo link cable that is included (12 inches in length). Only FM Band is offered on this radio device.

The Gentle Wake-Up feature is a really nice feature. When you set the alarm, you specify the sound level you want. When the alarm goes off, it starts off really low, but slowly increases over 30 to 60 seconds. The gradual increase works really well when using the radio or iPod as your wake-up source. The Buzzer option is also nice because it is 4 beeps in a row. Gentle Wake-up also works for the buzzer.

You can set two different alarms, choose which days the alarm should go off (All 7 Days, Weekdays only, or Weekend only), and the sound levels of the alarms. You can easily turn the alarms ON or OFF. There is a REPEAT ALARM button which is the SNOOZE button, but it could have been bigger and more noticable.

This alarm clock has a very sleek and futuristic look. Because the text color on the display is a BRIGHT ORANGE, it's a little hard to read the digital readout of the clock sometimes because of what's being reflected by its mirror (like white sheets on a bed). Sometimes it's hard to read during the daytime because of the increased light and sun in the room. Most of the time you will be able to read it easily, and it is very easy to read in the dark. The numbers in the display are about an inch tall, and the clock is near the bottom left of the clock, but it only takes up about 1/4 of the entire mirror. The other 3/4 of the front is just the mirror. See dimensions below.

The dock folds out from the bottom of the unit. The whole device is a 5 1/2" Width x 5 1/2" Height square size. The top part is the reflective mirror surface which measures 5 1/2" Width x 4" Height. The bottom 1 inch is the fold-out dock for the iPod. Push on the dock, and it folds out, sometimes. That's the problem. Sometimes it folds out easy, and sometimes it takes a few presses to have it fold out. Same thing with folding it back in place. It doesn't always lock on the first try.

The sound quality is quite good and sounds clear, but it could have been better. The speakers are on the side of the device, none on the front. The sound could have been better by having a third front speaker. Don't expect heavy bass or advanced sound to come out of this thing, but it does sounds quite good.

The Buttons look sleek since they are flat with the device, but that's also a problem. I found myself constantly having to turn the device to find the buttons and read the buttons since they are flat against the device and do not stick out. The buttons felt like a somewhat cheap, slightly hard plastic.

Regarding the build of the device, the plastic used in this clock radio isn't the sturdiest, but it is decent. That can be attributed to the price tag.

This Clock Radio offers some nice innovations, and accomplishes everything you need as a basic alarm clock and radio, and iPod player.

Overall 3.5 stars out of 5 stars.

"Nice alternative to a blaring beep" 2009-11-15
By Quoad Toad (Chicago)
The Philips DC190 is a decent alarm clock and docking station. Setting up the alarm clock was simple, although I did have to consult the "Quick start guide" to learn how to set the time and the alarms. I used an old ipod photo for testing and it fit perfectly into the cradle.

With the DC190 you can set separate alarms for both the weekday and the weekend. I like to sleep later on the weekend, so it's nice not to have to remember to change the alarm on the weekends. On the other hand, the DC190 does not give the user a lot of flexibility outside of the weekday/weekend options. People who have to wake up at different times on different days, may not find this alarm clock useful. While it's easy to learn the stops involved in setting up the alarm, it would be a pain to have to change the alarm time every day. With my cheap Walgreens alarm clock, I'm able to change the alarm in a snap whereas the DC190 requires fiddling with several buttons in order to change the alarm.

The quality of the speaker is about what a person would expect at this price point. It's neither exceptionally good or exceptionally bad. The alarm increases in volume over the course of about 30 seconds before reaching its maximum volume. You can also set the volume to be either loud or soft. I found it comforting to be woken up by music as opposed to a loud beeping sound.

I recommend this system to anyone who wakes up at about the same time each day. It's easy to use and it does what it claims to do.

 "Very Decent, Compact Unit" 2009-11-10
By Reviewer (California)
When I first pulled this unit out of the box I thought, "Oh gee, it's so small, how good is the sound quality going to be on such a small unit?" But I was pleasantly surprised. It's really quite decent and certainly good enough to fill a regular sized room with nice sound. When purchasing a docking unit, I think what you have to decide is what, exactly, are your requirements. This is an iPod Docking Clock Radio. If you're needing to fill a concert hall with sound, then don't buy a clock radio. I feel that a lot of reviewers fail to understand this and underrated this product. It is compact, nice looking, tells time, wakes you to music from your iPod, and has nice sound. In other words, it does exactly what it purports to do, and does it well.

 "Ehhhhh..." 2009-11-07
By Summeroz (sacramento, california)
There are two ways to view this product. You can say for the price it is what it is or you can say that it should be better than what it is.

LOOKS: As far as looks goes it is quite nice looking if you like the sleek look. The numbers are quite small. I need glasses to see far and I have the clock across the room so I have to get up and turn off the alarm so in the middle of the night I do have to squint to see the numbers.

SOUND: not so great. The radio receptions it was pretty bad. It is supposed to get the "strongest signals" but I didn't get anything with the presets I adjusted it myself.

Speakers -- it is an alarm radio so I guess it is going to suck but wow it really sucks there is NO bass whatsoever. so don't expect this to be your ipod stereo listening device in your room.

ALARM -- fade in -- some people love this some hate it. I hate it. I need a blaring alarm. It also has multiple settings which is nice so you can do work week and weekend. The buttons are EVERYWHERE. IT is annoying. Sometimes in the morning you just want to hit snooze and you end up hitting every other button not cool.

All in all I am just not happy with the alarm. I think it could be better.

 "pretty near perfect" 2009-12-29
By B. M. Garner (Sydney Australia)
I was originally looking for a different kind of alarm clock but I saw this and liked that it has divx and MP3 players, radio and USB port. I paid around $48 for it new. There are one or 2 things I would change, such as the buttons are not back lit so you have to remember where the buttons are in the dark. Also I would allow the default photo to be changed, so you don't have to go back to viewing the displayed photo when you remove the flash drive, or perhaps allow both the SD slot be used at the same time as the flash drive.

But apart from that this is a very nice unit and I would recommend it to anyone.

This alarm clock was great while it was working. You could place photos on it and it looked real nice on our mantle. When one day it decided to shut off and never comeback on. Not only were we late for work the warranty was up on the product by like 8 days. The Screen was bright and beautiful the time would lose minutes every now and then. Like if we set it at 11:41 exactly with our phones, two weeks later we would look at our phones and it would be 11:41 and the alarm clock would say like 11:38. Waste of cash!!!

"Digital picture frame with extra features!" 2009-08-08
By Sassy Diva (USA)
I've had this radio for at least 3 months and it has a lot of features and then some. Some of these features are auto-dim light, dual timers, plays divx movies, doesnt have any internal memory must use those mini usb drives or an sd card, wake up alarms ( radio, church bells, buzzer, forest, sinigng birds, and ocean wave), only has an fm radio no am, 2 small speakers on the front of the radio that put out good sound with auto tuner and 20 presets. I like that this radio has large numbers for the time and displays day, date, and month, and shows alarm time and a picture on the right. You can also change from 12h to 24 h time and you can change color of background for clock from blue, green, red, and purple. You can display the pictures in regular format or widescreen but in widescreen the images get cut off and in regular mode you get 2 bars on the sides of the photo. Even though this radio did have some feaatures that i didnt like such as picture resizing and no internal memory it was a good purchase in the end. This is the only digital photo frame that has dual alarms, a radio, has 3 sleep modes that shut off in 15,30,60,90,120 increments, and a buzzer that gradually gets so loud you can hear it from one end of the house to the other. There have been many a morning when I have woke up and thought what is the day today? This radio saves me the worry about that thankgod ! It is definately worth paying $50 or less for this radio but any more than that and you might as well buy from a seller. This is an ok radio that basically has the features that I wanted. I only gave it 4 stars becaus no internal memory for the outrageous price of almost one-hundred bucks. Most digital picture frames dont have the features that this one has thats why i bought it from a seller for $50. thanks.

 "Nice bedside clock/radio/projector." 2010-01-31
By Hawk521 (North Carolina USA)
Works great. Readily adjustable as to orientation and rotation of projected image. I tried using the wall(s) and eventually settled on projecting the time directly above the bed. Easily visible in the dark without being so bright as to bother the wife. I can glimpse the time with only one eye halfway open! :)

The only caution I have is true of many multi-feature clock radios - there are a lot of buttons and options that don't get used very much - if ever. But being a bit of a gadget guy I appreciate the versatility.

I love the projection, although can be difficult to read unless the room is completely dark. Time seems to need adjustment every couple of weeks.

 "little fancy radio clock" 2010-01-21
By H. Liu (Dallas, TX)
1) first of all, screen is small. with yellow back light, can be hard to read.

2) projection is OK. if room is dark, and projecting distance is short.

Other than this, it's fancy, digital clock is convenient, two alarm can be helpful.

 "good price, misleading description" 2009-12-28
By Lisa Aguilar (South Dakota, USA)
I was a little disappointed with this alarm clock. I have owned a philips alarm clock that I was replacing buying this one. In the description it says it has the gradual alarm, but that is only available with the chime alarm and not with the radio as I was accustomed to with my previous alarm clock.

I also was purchasing this item because I like the bright adjustable screen. This one was dissapointing in brightness as I wanted to use it sort of as a nightlight.

Other than that, its an ok buy for the price but I was expecting more than what I got from Philips.

"Cute Package with a lot of Options" 2009-12-16
By Anna Hope (PA United States)
What a cute little projection clock! It kind of sits on its side and there are buttons everywhere. There's a lot going on in this little package. Style wise it's definitely better than the Oregon Scientific projection clocks, however performance ( for what each is supposed to do) the Oregon ones might work a little bit better. It's not that it's necessarily complicated to set and work this clock, it's just that the buttons are spread everywhere and you have to remember where everything is. But I'd definitely give this as a Christmas present, and not to someone I didn't like!

 "Looks Not Smarts" 2010-01-29
By vamommy (Midlothian, VA United States)
This is by far the best looking alarm clock I have owned. It looks SLICK in a way that makes you turn your head and say, "Wow, that looks slick!" It is nice to have a sophisticated "grown up" alarm clock.

My iPhone 3G plays nicely with it so I can stream music from Pandora or Slacker Radio.

It is PACKED with features and options.

My gripe with it is this... the controls are not lit and are complex tiny things to have to fiddle with in the dark. It is impossible to know what you are doing to it without task light and holding it directly in full view. An alarm clock's interface should be more intuitive and logical than this. If you MUST have such an frustrating layout, at least make it back lit.

I'm not sure why I am giving it 4 stars, because I have had to stop using it due to the frustrating controls. It is pretty!

 "Smart Looking Clock Radio" 2010-01-21

Gave this Item as a gift to parents. They both like the look of this alarm clock radio. This is probably the best for the money and easy to use.

 "Neat looking from afar" 2009-12-28
By M. Potvin (SC PA)
I was quite shocked when taking this alarm clock out of the box when I saw the fit and finish of the device wasn't up to par with what a production device should exhibit. The surface of the clock area and the meeting of the bottom section has what could only be explained as nicks out of the material. It just doesn't look like a polished ready for release product.

The sound quality of this unit is worse than that of other clock radios. It is exceptionally tinny. Not that I expect great sound quality from a clock radio, but if you add in the capability to play a MP3 player, I'd expect something decent out of the speakers.

Radio reception is horrible. All stations, even on the FM band, have that staticy sound that you get from an AM radio station. I am in an area that radio reception is pretty good and I can't pick up a radio station solidly on this device.

The dual alarm clock is very nice. Having multiple alarms for the two most common waking times is perfect, don't need to change the alarm all the time!

[Edit 1/5/10] - If I could move this to one star I would. The tuning of the radio stations is just so horrific that you can't wake to music on this radio. There really is no point in calling this anything more than an alarm clock. Leave the radio part out of the equation.

"I found the perfect one!" 2009-11-28
By Mountaingirl (Sierra Nevada, CA USA)
I have been looking for "the perfect" clock radio for quite a while and I think I found it!

A marvel of engineering and design -- it's light, airy, amazing looking yet sturdy and substantial at the same time. This is so well designed! I find that the buttons are in the right places, easy to get to and intuitive, they feel very substantial and not flimsy and cheap like so many other electronics today. I don't know how they were able to make a piece that is so substantial and solid feeling yet airy and light and unobtrusive looking. A really great job done though! I am quite impressed and very pleasantly surprised, this feels like a product that will last, which sometimes seems like a thing of teh past- toay everything is made to toss...

I love the non digital radio station dial-- I live in a mountainous area where it's very hard to get any reception, and the manual tuner is a must. And this one is well made and sensitive -- I actually get several stations with this, which I have never been able to get with others I have tried.

On top of it the light display is brilliantly done! The mirror finish is really cool it's a smoky color so not like a shiny standard mirror. And the time is displayed in a golden color that makes it really easy at a quick glance see what time it is whether it's light or dark in the room, yet at night it's very unobtrusive. Living in the mountains we have no ambient light (except the moon when it's full) coming into the bedroom. So, any light source really pops out and I have a hard time sleeping with that in the room. So I have been looking for one that didn't keep me awake. I have tried several ones with adjustable displays but ended up having to toss a piece of clothing over each one I have tried, which makes it a useless time keeper. This one was just perfect.

I really, really like this clock radio and can highly recommend it.

 "Stylish" 2009-11-19
By G. Ruiz
The style of this clock is really nice. The quality of the sound is ok, and although it's easy to use, sometimes it's not that easy to deactivate the alarm. The snooze button is reachable, but the on/off button for the alarm is not. I struggle sometimes in the morning to turn it off. I would still recommend it since it's stylish and it has pretty good functions like a second alarm, an audio jack for you mp3, and a quality FM radio.
