I purchased this product based mostly on positive reviews I found on Amazon.com. When I received it I opened the packaging, but didn't have time to program him, so I put him aside for another day. That day came 3 months later. When trying to set him up, the instructions were very sparse. I got his clock set, but despite having the alarm set, his wheels never worked. I was in the midst of packing to move, so I never tried to return him to Amazon. I was quite upset about him not working, but perhaps it was only one defective unit of many that work just fine?

This was a fun and useful product until it broke (runs away, but stopped making any alarm sound). I was past the return period from the store where I bought it so I contacted Nanda for warranty service. And I contacted Nanda again. And I contacted Nanda again. I emailed them. I called them on the phone. I even wrote a letter (a real honest to goodness letter - you know, with a stamp). Every time I spoke to someone, they said they would have to get back in touch with me, but they never did. Always apologetic, but never solving the problem. It's too bad. They obviously are a small company and I was rooting for them. They don't seem to be run very well. Nanda, if you're listening, it's and I would still like a working Clocky. Nanda's customer support is awful. It's hard to recommend Clocky for this reason.

This is the best alarm clock in the world, and it has nothing to do with the wheels (although they are cute). This alarm makes the MOST ANNOYING SOUND of any alarm I've found. It makes you want to bash the clock to bits with a hammer, and it's definitely impossible to snooze through. So

2) put it well out of arm's reach from your bed

I bought this at the request of my 18 year old daughter. She doesn't wake up too easily and would sleep through her regular alarm and her cell phone alarm. This works really well. Initially, the alarm goes off and because it has robotic sounds, it wakes her up right away. If she hits the snooze button for 1 minute and ignores it, Clocky jumps off of her night stand and rolls around on her floor making loud beeping sounds. She has a thick rug and it doesn't roll around too well on that, but the fact that she has to get out of bed to shut if off works. The only drawbacks with Clocky that I can see are no backlight feature, so you can't tell time at night and also the price is high. It is not made of the best materials, but so far it is holding up. I'm not sure how solidly-made this is. Since it jumps off your nightstand, you'd better not have a linoleum or wooden floor: it think it would break before long.



I would also like to point out that Clocky runs around in random directions for only about 15 seconds. After that it stops and merely beeps crazily in place.



Why don't you just put your alarm clock in the bathroom instead? That way you have to get up and walk some distance to turn it off.
