The battery does not quite fit, and slides away from the contacts. I cut the box it came in into small strips and inserted several at the bottom of the battery to hold it against the contacts, and this seems to work well enough. It took the charge, and had worked MUCH better than the one that I purchased directly from Creative, at least so far. It lasts for about 6 hours of constant use before I need recharging; not as good as my i-Pod or my SansDisk timewise, but it still works very well.

I bought this product for my 60GB Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra. The old battery was getting tired and this had a few more milliamps than stock, so I thought I'd try it. Externally it looks identical to the old battery except for the label. However, when I put it in the Zen and started charging it I got ...nothing. It was like I had no battery installed. I found that you have to shove a toothpick of something in the end of the case where the battery sits to push it forward against the contacts. After that it took a charge and seems to be working so far.

I didn't listen to the complaints from the other reviewers, and I purchased this clock. Big mistake. Batteries are very difficult to put into the unit and they have to be jammed in to close the back. The plastic lip that is supposed to support the clock in the open position broke off, so I can't use the clock in the open position as it is supposed to do. Amazon should consider not offering this item any more. I purchased this unit over another only because I have the Prime shipping option.

I recently purchased this clock, and unfortunately, it is already falling apart. The stem which you turn to set the alarm and the time is very loose, almost falling out. This is the second time I've purchased an Equity clock (different model) and the other one lasted only a few months before the stems fell out as well. It's not worth the time and expense to return to manufacturer or Amazon, so this purchase was a lose-lose.

I've had a few of these, which attest to their desirability but lack of durability. 2 of the 4 broke after a year or so, but I'm going to get yet another since, while they work, they're great! And they're cheap!



Good points are:

1) Silent!

2) Big convenient snooze button also turns on the light, which with fresh batteries makes a night light in a pinch

3) Easy to read and set

4) Attractive



UPDATE (after finally opening the package):

IT'S NOT SILENT! IT TICKS SOMEWHAT LOUDLY. Major bummer.

It is in all ways identical to the silent ones I've had except that it ticks!
