 "Too Bright!" 2010-01-21
By Kinda Picky
Nice features, just not well thought out. The LCD display as well as the ceiling display is so bright it lights up the bedroom at night. I have to put a wash cloth over it in order to go to sleep. Of course that defeats the purpose of having one. The buttons are positioned so that when you press them, it slides the clock backwards forcing you to use both hands to do anything with the clock...one to hold it still and the other to press the buttons. My primary reason for purchasing this clock was to get the outside temperature displayed on the ceiling. Now I'm going to have to buy another one.

"Projection faded over time. Randomly changes time." 2010-01-03
By cmajor9th
I've owned this product for over a year. As a bedside clock, it's OK, but I've had these issues:

* As others have noted, every several months it will change the time. (Usually by a few hours and oddly by some random number of minutes as well, so not just a time zone issue)

* Over time, the clarity of the projected image (which was my original main attraction to it) has faded to where it is now pretty much illegible. I've tried cleaning off the lense, refocusing, but no remedy. It's as if the luminosity of the internal lamp has faded over a year.

"HoMedics Sound Radio and Clock" 2009-12-28

The Radio and Clock is an average unit slightly over priced. In most cases the exterior temperature monitor does not work. I think for children and older people wanting a toy this is okay. I rate it as an average consumer product.

"Light's too bright!!! Snooze button is hard to find!!!" 2009-11-21
By Manchego (Florida)
I've had this clock for a while now and I still don't like it for many reasons. The snooze button was so hard to find at the beginning. After I don't know how many months I was finally able to hit it in the right place. If you are sensitive to light forget about getting this clock. There is not one setting that has a tolerable amount of brightness. The low/high settings for the back light are super bright and even the projection light is super bright for both my husband and myself. And as for the atomic time setting the other day the clock set itself back one hour and I ended up waking up an hour late. I was late to work!!! All in all you're better off with a regular alarm clock. Not worth the money.

"I can't get rid of it fast enough" 2009-10-15
By D. Baker (South Bay, CA)
I should've read the reviews. I've had mine for about 6 months, and I've been searching for a replacement for a month now. The same issues as everyone else: atomic time keeps changing the time (in the middle of the night of course, so your alarm doesn't go off at the right time), the backlight is too bright or too dim, so I turn it off and use the projection. But my husband can't stand the projection on all the time, so I have it come on when I hit the snooze. The buttons are all too close, so yes, I'm probably hitting the wrong buttons all the time. The volume controls it all, and the lowest volume is still too loud. The radio sucks (it also sucked on my last clock/radio, so I'm not blaming this one). And just recently when the nature sounds come on as my alarm, I get loud static which defeats the whole peaceful wakeup.

It's going in the garbage, since I can't return it.

ETA: I forgot: the remote and indoor temp works great - can't complain about that - that's one feature I really do like.
