Over the years we've owned many Sangean products and have come to expect exceptional quality and thoughtful
design. Pretty much we've never been disappointed. My husband bought this radio for me as a birthday present
and to be honest, when I saw it, I was very excited about it. It has absolutely everything I had wanted in a beautiful package,and sized just right. I plugged it in immediately, and from that moment it worked perfectly. UNTIL.... about 5 months later, when the atomic clock went bonkers. The LED clock was perfect but the atomic clock became completely erratic. No amount of adjusting or resetting made any difference. At first, because everything else was working I decided to keep it. But then I realized that there are times during that night that I awaken and look at the time. My eye always goes to the atomic clock first, then the LED clock and the time was always out of sync.It doesn't sound like such a big thing, and maybe it's not, but if a company says a product can do something, then it should, no? So, reluctantly, we shipped the clock/radio back to Sangean for repair and/or replacement. We were told that something or other was wrong with a mechanism and although it could be fixed, they were just going to send out a new one. We should be receiving it on Tuesday. Although I'm happy that they stand behind their products I am now a bit leery of this clock. I don't really understand why it broke down in the first place since it wasn't handled roughly or moved or dropped. But, stuff happens. In the 5 months of use I became totally dependent on this product. The sound is wonderful, and although the settings at first are a little confusing, once you've set them (unless like mine your clock breaks) they're set. And even if they have to be set again, it's not a problem. When it was working properly, it was definitely a 5 star product. We shall see whether the new clock has the same problems. I hope not, because I really love this clock radio.

I owe two homes and I have about 10 to 14 different AM/FM Clock radios and I must say that this one is the VERY BEST. It has all the features one can ask for including "Showing the time and the radio station at the same time". Great feature! And, it look just great. Very satisfied with my purchase and thank you Amazon for your easy navigated web site and fast delivery. Hats off to you.

I have suffered with a cheap s@ny clock radio for years. Changing the alarm time was a pain. The radio was anemic at best. But worst of all, I was unable to receive some of my favorite radio stations at all...as if the radio has no antenna at all.
The Sangean has a beautiful display, with controllable brightness, an external fm antenna, and the ability to pull in ALL the radio stations that I was missing. Sound is good for a table-top type radio. I'm thrilled. automatic clock syncing is an added bonus for me.
This is a pretty advanced alarm clock which can manage four different alarms, and so I did have to spend maybe 5 minutes with the instruction book to figure out how to set an alarm. Instructions are short, clear and effective. In short-order, I had one alarm set up for weekdays, and one set up for weekends. Nice.
Overall, I'm thrilled.

It has many features but but some aren't "user friendly". Maybe there are just too many features.

I looked all over for a not-too-big, somewhat attractive bedside radio that had BOTH an input (for either MP3, Sirius Satellite radio or an iPod--we have all three) AND a headphone jack for either a headset or a pillow speaker. This is a rare bedside radio that has both features, a small footprint and quite nice sound quality. Plus, it has the 'atomic clock' feature which means you'll never have to set it. We live in Los Angeles so we get first-rate reception, and, as I said, I was pleasantly surprised by the rich sound quality for a compact radio--with a lot of added features. If you're not a serious audiophile, but just want a good-sounding, attractive radio by your bedside, then you'll be very pleased with this Sangean. A very good product. Nor, btw, did I find it difficult to use or set-up...and the display dimmer feature I found to be great. My wife hates bright lights in the bedroom; this dims down to nothing, if you like.
