"Not a fan of this clock" 2010-03-03
By Jessica Hornig (Cumberland, Rhode Island United States)
This clock is just not very user friendly. It's difficult to set the alarm times - you have to hold down the buttons as the time increases by the minute. This is annoying. The buttons were flimsy and in fact have broken. I like the option of waking to the radio or nature sounds however we have had problems with the alarm just not working at all and everyone being late in the morning. Not fun.

"do not buy this clock" 2010-03-02
By Kathleen Kane
This is the most complicated clock I have ever seen. I lost the instructions and can't re-set the alarm. It's set to go off on Saturdays and Sundays only, how useful is that? I can't find the instructions online either, so I may have to throw this thing out.

"Worst Alarm Clock I Have Ever Owned" 2010-01-01
By Review Fox
I bought this alarm clock about a year ago, mostly because it had the nature sounds feature. It recently became impossible to change any of the settings on it, so I happily threw it out. As almost everyone has mentioned, it is extremely complicated to set anything on this clock, whether it's wakeup mode, time settings, or anything else. The instructions are very poor, and the functionality of the buttons you have to use is abysmal. I'm an engineer and I still had to get the instructions out almost every time I wanted to change a setting, and even then it was a challenge. And the volume knob, like on a lot of alarm clocks, turns so easily that if it gets touched accidently by anything will usually turn to zero volume and you will end up oversleeping the next day.

On top of everything else, as mentioned by others, the nature sounds you can wake to are the worst nature sounds of all time. The best sound is the ocean waves sound, but it is ruined by screeching sea gulls. The singing birds wakeup sound must be doves calling each other at dawn or sunset. The wind chimes sound like some sort of low frequency gongs, and the brook sound is drowned out by annoying loud frogs. These sounds are all so unpleasant that you reach to turn off the clock immediately when it goes off, much like a loud abrasive buzzer.

The only good thing about this alarm clock is the ability to set it so that the alarm comes on every weekday or weekend morning automatically, once you figure out how to work this setting. I would strongly recommend avoiding this hard-to-use, terrible sounding abomination of an alarm clock.

 "So Disappointing..." 2009-03-09
By Knowledge Forest (Washington, DC United States)
Who ever gave the OK for the controls on this clock should have been fired. Just trying the change the alarm time is a pain. Either u have to do a hundred button presses or you have to wait for the time advance to slowly speed up when you have the button held down. At least is looks nice and sounds good.

"Not recommended....complicated and poor radio quality" 2009-03-08
By Stephen T. Porter (Los Angeles, CA)
I ran across this clock here at Amazon while shopping for its replacement. I realize one shouldn't be too picky with such an inexpensive item, and perhaps this is about as well as you can do for the money, but I've decided to move on and up.

Main complaint is that setting the alarm is tricky and you can un-set it fairly easily once in awhile and then have to go back and fiddle around to get it reset.

It also has, at least in my home, really, really poor reception and is very sensitive to placement. It has a long piece of wire as an antenna and you have to fool around to get it in the best position, and then the cats have to come and play with it too ;-).

I'm going to find a replacement and spend some more $$ to get better sound and something easier to use.

Oh...one plus is that it has an auto-off feature so you can fall asleep listening to it if you like.
