We got the Equity digital clock, "InstaSet" Model 40018, and loved it overall. But, the clock started giving the wrong time and then would show jumbled nonsense images. We unplugged and then waited a day to replug and see if it would correct. It did begin showing numbers again, but not the correct time. We left it plugged in and it lost a few minutes every few days.
The clock has a 2 years warrenty, but to use it, you must mail the clock to CA at your expense, plus send them $5.00 for return shipping. We really liked the size of the clock and the red digital read-out was easy to see yet not glaring. The cost to send the clock and insure the proof of receipt, along with return postage and our time, was just not worth it on chance it would be fixed. There are other brands that we will buy for about the same cost.

The Equity 30037 1.8" LED clock is a good value, and works well. However it is advertised on their website as having a "display dimmer", which it does not seem to have, and they have not answered my emails on this subject. It is extremely bright, so is OK in the daytime, but is overly bright at night. I had to open it (4 outer screws and 4 inner periphery screws) and insert a neutral density filter inside the bezel to decrease the brightness. The 30037 is a clever design that uses miniature LEDs to reflect light into the display segment bars, which provides adequate but not total uniformity in the segment light distribution. The unit requires 1 AA battery if you desire backup power.
