"Great alarm clock for deep sleepers" 2009-03-05
By Alan Somers (McKinney, TX USA)
My wife will tell you that I could sleep through anything. My previous alarm clock was one of those that starts soft and gets louder. Unfortunately, I would subconsciously hit the snooze button on several instances before it got loud. As a result, I consistently got into work later than I'd like.

This clock is different. It has an alarm that starts loud and stays loud. The tone of the alarm and the loudness can be set. The flashing lamp is a nice feature too, although I would have been perfectly happy if the lamp just turned on instead of flashing; my previous one had a lamp control but it wasn't tied into the alarm, which made that feature mostly useless to me. I don't use the bed shaker, so I can't comment on it.

Let me clarify one thing that was not obvious and that I consider important: the snooze button acts as an on/off lamp control, whether the alarm is active or not. If the alarm is set to flash the lamp and you press the snooze once when the alarm first sounds, the lamp goes off; if you press it twice, the lamp stays on. If you have the clock set in Auto Snooze mode and you've turned on the lamp since the alarm first sounded, the lamp will flash when the alarm sounds again but will stay on when you press the snooze button once. This is well thought-out in my opinion.

"Product is excellent, so ignore the pervious reviewer!" 2008-12-20
By J. Bardi (Peyton, CO United States)
First of all, this is an alarm clock... and it does what it is suppose to do very well. The idea of not buying it or complaining about it because it doesn't work in a power outage is just crazy. If your power is going out all the time, maybe you need to move to a new house. This isn't meant for an Amish lifestyle. I guess I should return my television, microwave, lamps, electric stove, refrigerator, washing machine and dryer, because oddly enough, they don't work when the power goes out either. What ever will I do. I just wish people would review the product based upon its ability to do what it was designed to do, and not look for a reason to sue a company for supposed false advertising. Every product on the market would be pulled because it is all in how you interpret it. This product is excellent.

 "The Box Lies" 2008-02-01
By Kristian M. Morphis (San Francisco California)
The tag line on the box is "The Alarm Clock That's Guaranteed To Wake You Up!" however the manual clearly states that the manufacture is not responsible for the alarm clocks failure to work.

This Alarm Clock WILL NOT WORK IN A POWER OUTAGE you can use a backup battery and it will keep the time current however it will not display the time or sound the alarm during a power outage.

This Alarm Clock is SEVERELY overpriced. Take your $50 and spend it on an Alarm Clock from a reputable manufacture.
