I bought this product because although I don't have a vision problem I thought it would be cool to have a talking clock that would tell the time at the top of the hour. Well let me explain the fun part about the clock.
It has a remote that when you push the button it tells you what time it is and if you push another button it will tell you what the temperature.
Now the negatives. Unless you like a clock to announce the time on the top of the hour this one won't do that. You must push the button at the top of the unit or from the remote and it gives you the wrong temperature.
It will tell you that it is 120 degrees F when it is less then that.
Setting up the clock is easy since the voice announces the time date month and year but if you are getting this one for those with vision problems you will have to set up the clock for them because there is no braille on the paper manual or on the clock.
I don't like to recommend or not recommend any product since different people want different things from the same product so I would just check out the reviews and see how many folks like or hate the product and decide for yourself.

I originally purchased this as a gift for my aged mother who has difficulty seeing a clock due to decreased vision. She has enjoyed this so much that I purchased another for her to keep in another room! She is constantly pleasing me with how much she uses it! I bought this for my mom, who recently lost her sight. She has found this to be extremely helpful. She keeps the remote control in her pocket and just hits the button when she wants to know the time. It clearly gives the date, time and temperature. Highly recommend this for anyone who would have such a need.
