I've seen these clocks in clock shops in/around town, but the retail prices were more than I had wanted to spend. The pricing here on Amazon was very competitive. This version plays 6 Broadway Show Tunes or 6 Christmas songs in stereo with just a flip of a switch. The sound fills up the room. The animation and lights make it extra special. Having an automatic day/night function is great, as the clock is quiet in the dark, be it during night, or when we are watching a movie on the tv. The clock is well made and runs on 4 D batteries. The seller shipped the item very quickly and it was well wrapped. I had attempted to order this same clock well before Christmas from a "shop at home" channel, but the clock was never sent and Christmas was not what I had hoped it would be. Amazon/the seller as well as the clock have exceeded my expectations. The clock looks/sounds terrific in our greatroom. We are very pleased with it.
